This SY 2054 SUK Overlock Jersey needle is primarily used in particular Singer household / domestic overlock machines.
The significantly thinner flat shank and second thread groove distinguish this needle from other household needles. The additional thread groove supports stitch formation for overlock seams. In addition, the SY 2054 SUK Overlock Jersey needle has a reinforced blade, which significantly reduces the risk of needle breakage.
Thanks to its medium ball point, the needle is particularly kind to materials and is suitable for sewing most knitted fabrics, including jersey, without causing any damage.
The SY 2054 SUK Overlock Jersey needle with its flat shank is only suitable for household overlock machines whose operating instructions specify the use of the SY 2054 or 16x75 needle system. The needle is not suitable for 'normal' household sewing machines.
